Mobility Framework

Owing to the increase in usage of mobile devices on the Internet, many organizations are implementing mechanisms to publish their existing applications on mobile browsers. Ideally this process should not require re-engineering of the front end interfaces for each type of device, because doing so would incur cost of development and maintenance. Fortunately commercial third-party products are available that provide a convenient mechanism to maintain a single interface (page) from which various device specific content can be generated. This eliminates the need to re-write the front-end interface of the application for each type of mobile device, resulting in much cost saving.

For legacy applications there is still a major development activity involved in scaning through the existing pages and adding mobility related information into each page. AES Infotech's Mobility Framework augments the commercially available mobility engines by providing a mechanism to automatically inject mobility information into legacy applications. Our solution adds value by intelligently replacing Javascript (intended for desktop browsers) with WML script (for WAP based devices) where necessary.
